Reminder - Bring your newspaper stories typed and printed out this Wed, Sep 29. VERY IMPORTANT! We will be planning issue 1 of our school newspaper, "The Lion's Roar".

Here is blog assignment #29:

1) You are a reporter. Search the web for other high schools with newspapers (state-wide, nation-wide, or internationally).

2) Find at least 5 schools with high school newspapers. For each school, post:
a. Name and location of school
b. Name of the newspaper
c. If they have a website, the web address.
d. Any other lagniappe info about the newspaper.

Blog Assignment #25

Hey Journalism Students!

I hope you had a great weekend. Awesome job @ the yearbook assembly. You guys really worked well together. I'm proud of you.

Here's blog assignment #25:
1) Write all of your newspaper stories. Each story should be at least 5 paragraphs long (5-7 sentences each).
2) See Danielle if you don't remember what you're supposed to write about.
3) Post your stories to your blog with their title (Example: "Sharks Aren't So Scary")
4) Read and comment on every other classmate's stories (each person should have 2-3 stories). This should take a few days. Leave a comment that provides constructive criticism about their story. Was it interesting? Any grammatical errors? Etc.

This should take a couple of days to complete.

Excellent job on blogs! Please make sure you have blogs completed through #18 by Friday.

ADS: make sure you're contacting those businesses I told you about. AD sales are worth 150 points (that's a big chunk of your grade). Each student needs to sell $300 in ADS by the first week of October. Please don't wait until the last minute. Think SENIORS & people you know who own their own business. Turn AD $ and sheets in to me, Danielle, or Mikki.
